The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA might be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support place created for intervention experiences a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing website of all buyers and enhance access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.

For more information, community sassa members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
